Rabbi Boruch and Rivka Greenberg moved to Allentown in August 2015 with their newborn baby, as Chabad emissaries to open up the Chabad Student Center. Boruch, originally from Morristown, New Jersey, and Rivka from Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine are dedicated to creating a home away from home for every Jewish student.
Chabad on Campus
Chabad on Campus serves the needs of students on a social, educational, and spiritual level. At Chabad, all students are welcome, regardless of background, affiliation, and level of observance.
At Chabad, students have the ability to discover the warmth and beauty of their heritage, and learn to apply the timeless Jewish principle of Ahavat Israel - at their own pace.
In the early 1950s, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of blessed memory, began sending rabbinical students to campuses to serve as a resource for students. Since the 1960s, Chabad campus centers open their doors to every Jewish student.
We believe that family and community are vital keys to character building. That’s why we open our home to students, helping inspire them with a respect for family values and a deep meaningful concern for the land of Israel.
